Specialized Stumpjumper FSR

There is a review from Bike Radar from 2015 (covering the Elite 650b model) which firstly emphasises the responsiveness, which is at a high level especially when navigating technical trails, gaps and switchbacks. Also mentioned in this review is the all round ability: that is apparent on anything from long cross country rides to short sharp and bendy downhill trails, combined with the riding enjoyment in that this bike is fun to play with whether you jump it into the air or pop it around sharp corners. If you're interested in ratings, this review gives the bike a 3.5/5.

Amongst the reviews is one from Mountain Bike Rider from 2015 (covering the Comp Evo model) and mentioning the suspension, particularly the rear which is easy to adjust while riding and copes brilliantly on twisty, tight unpredictable tracks. This review also mentions the riding position: that features tried and tested geometry and a low bottom bracket, giving confidence to ride as hard and fast as you want and the handling which is balanced and predictable with the benefit of being able to improve by upgrading the front fork. This review includes a rating of 5.0/5.

Specialized Stumpjumper S-Works

There is a review from Bikemag.com from 2015 (covering the FSR model) which firstly emphasises the balanced ride, that makes the bike easy to manoeuvre on most types of trail ride, whether drifting corners or navigating rock gardens. Also mentioned in this review is the descents: that are really easy to control because of the excellent active suspension design, with the option of using a middle trail mode on longer climbs, combined with the downtube storage which is the latest development for making the carrying of spares easier, as you can stuff quite a large variety of useful things in there.

Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon

There is a review from Vital MTB from (covering the FSR Comp 650b model) which firstly emphasises the climbing ability, that revealed a stable front end even on steep ascents, so it isn't necessary to get right above the bars and the rear stayed glued down. Also mentioned in this review is the fun descending: which resulted from the compact chainstay design and the ease of control, allowing all sorts of ways of playing with the ride for great entertainment, combined with the balanced ride that will allow mountain bikers to tackle just about any trail, whether fast and flowing or moderately rough.

Enduro MTB Magazine has a review from 2016 (covering the FSR Expert model) and detailing the speed on trails, as this bike just flows over small bumps and the suspension progresses smoothly on rougher terrain, giving a balance between comfort and fun. There are also good comments about the responsiveness: as a result of the geometry making the bike easy to handle and the tuning of the rear suspension to give stability and the climbing that is made easy with the combination of the lightweight carbon frame coupled with a sensible level of stiffness.
